John Abraham is back in an action thriller after a long time. In Nikkhil Advani’s Vedaa, the actor plays mentor to Sharvari who is seeking justice from the powerful over their oppressive behaviour on her and her family. The trailer of Vedaa was unveiled on Thursday, which gives a glimpse of the action drama set to release on August 15.
The film has Abraham playing an ex-army officer who trains Sharvari’s Vedaa to seek justice for being oppressed due to her caste identity. The film also features Abhishek Bannerjee whose character is shown torturing villagers as he says, “I believe in the caste system and abide by it.”
The trailer shows Abraham’s character Abhimanyu training Vedaa in martial arts and boxing as she seeks to fight against discrimination.

While she does get support from her mentor, it is up to her to fight for social justice. There are glimpses of many high-octane action sequences of John as well as Sharvari.
The movie also has Tamannaah Bhatia playing John’s love interest and Mouni Roy in a dance sequence.
Vedaa is produced by Zee Studios, Emmay Entertainment and JA Entertainment. The movie is directed by Nikkhil Advani and is slated to release on August 15.
