In a shocking turn of events, actor Gurcharan Singh, who we all fondly know as Sodhi from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has gone missing. He was supposed to board a flight from Delhi to Mumbai on April 22 and he even left his house for the airport but never reached the destination nor did he return home. His parents are unaware of his whereabouts from the last five days.
A CCTV clip shows the actor roaming in Delhi’s Palam area at 9:14 pm on April 22. He had a bag wrapped around his back.
As per the latest update, Gurucharan Singh’s father, Hargit Singh, has filed a missing complaint at the Palam police station regarding his son’s disappearance. An FIR has been registered under Section 365 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

In an interview with HT, Sachin Shroff, who plays the titular role of Taarak Mehta, said, “The team is definitely helping the family and in touch with the agencies, it is quite disturbing.”
Meanwhile, Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, who played the role of Gurcharan’s wife Roshan Singh Sodhi on the show, told the publication, “We weren’t in touch for a year now, but I tried calling him yesterday, his number was switched off. Gurcharan was a good person, I hope he is safe and sound. I am keeping my fingers crossed.”
