Sonakshi Sinha cannot hold back tears in the new wedding video – watch

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s wedding was all about love, fun, family and close ones. After dating for seven years, the couple decided to take each other as husband and wife in a civil marriage on June 23. On Friday (June 27), Iqbal shared a wedding video, which was hosted at Sonakshi’s luxurious apartment in Mumbai. Their low-key wedding ceremony was attended by close friends and family. 

The clip shared by Zaheer gave a close glimpse of his wedding with Sonakshi. The vidoe starts with a wide shot capturing the Dabangg actress’ house from the decorated balcony and then shows the apartment full of guests chatting, cheering and singing around as the bride and groom stand by the table to register their marriage.

The video had the crowd singing ”Sona kitna sona Hai” song before calling Zaheer, ”Jiju number 1.” As the crowd’s voice got higher, actor Siddharth quipped, ”Ab sab ek sath, Khamosh”.

The clip showed the actress’s parents veteran actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha and his wife Poonam Sinha standing by their daughter.

Sharing the clip, Zaheer wrote, ”Family, friends, love, friendship, laughter, silly comments, kids running around, happy tears, warm hugs, excitement, bloopers, screeches, fun, joy, anticipation, nerves, emotions and above all just pure happiness this was our chaotic little Shaadi ka ghar… and it was PERFECT… it was US.

On the emotional front, the video showed Sonakshi, who couldn’t hold back her tears after completing the process of her court marriage with Zaheer.

Wedding of the Century

Earlier, a lot of rumours circulated that Sonakshi’s family was upset with her decision to marry Iqbal. However, Sonakshi’s parents quashed all the rumours by taking part in the wedding and giving their daughter and son-in-law their blessings. A few days after the wedding, on Wednesday, the veteran
actor Shatrughan Sinha shared a few inside photos and videos of the wedding.

Expressing gratitude for all the love that people had showered on Sonakshi and Iqbal’s wedding, Sinha wrote, ”With an attitude of gratitude we would like to thank everyone for celebrating with us on our special day seems to be the ‘wedding of the century’ with your warmth, love, congratulatory messages for our darling daughter #SonakshiSinha with #ZaheerIqbal as they start a new chapter in their beautiful journey of their lives.”

Instead of choosing a religious wedding, interfaith couple Sonakshi and Zaheer had a civil marriage. After the registration of their wedding, the couple hosted a grand wedding reception at Bistro – At The Top in Mumbai.
