Liam Payne’s ex-girlfriend Danielle Peazer shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, revealing the last text she received from the late singer before his tragic death. Payne, 31, tragically died after falling from a balcony in Buenos Aires on October 16.
Peazer reflected on their time together and shared a sweet message from Payne, where he expressed happiness for the love she had found with her partner Sonny Jay and their daughter Mia. She wrote, “Receiving a message from you a couple of weeks ago expressing your happiness for the love I found with Sonny and Mia is something I’ll cherish forever.”
“His most important role and something he was the most proud of out of all of his monumental successes was that he was a father,” she added. “The thought that there is a now a child growing up without one of their parents is heartbreaking and unfair,” she continued. “To Liam’s son Bear, as well as his parents and sisters, my love, thoughts and strength goes to you. The magnitude of this loss is incomprehensible and I will continue to support you in any way I am able to.”
Payne and Peazer first met in 2010 on The X Factor, where she worked as a backup dancer while Payne competed as part of One Direction. The pair dated for over two years and remained close even after their romantic relationship ended.
Addressing Payne directly in her message, Peazer referred to him by his initials, “LJP,” and admitted that his death still feels unreal. “Despite being aware of your struggles over the years, I hoped and prayed that this day would never come,” she wrote. “Now we’re all facing the reality of living a life without your presence.”
Peazer also reflected on their relationship, acknowledging that while they had their ups and downs, they always cared deeply for one another. “We could disagree on so many things yet still look out for each other in times of need,” she said.
She ended her heartfelt tribute by thanking Payne for teaching her important life lessons and apologising that his story didn’t end differently. “I’m sorry your story didn’t end differently, and I’m sorry you didn’t ever get to share more of your magic with the world. Rest easy my friend,” Peazer concluded.
