The Premier League opening weekend has already been in the headlines as top clubs in England’s top flight look to stamp their authority. While the big names are in the spotlight, Nottingham were also in the headlines on the weekend for the wrong reasons. Facing Bournemouth on the opening weekend, midfielder Danilo suffered a horrible injury which could see him get ruled out for the rest of the season having only played seven minutes on Saturday (Aug 17).

Danilo out of season?
Playing against the Cherries at the City Ground, Danilo went for an aerial challenge in the seventh minute of the season opener. The Brazilian would land awkwardly on his leg which forced him to twist his leg. The nasty injury saw a long break in play as the ground staff, players and the medical team rushed to the aid of the player. Stewarts were even seen surrounding the player with the wall, indicating the nasty nature of the injury.
Soon the match would resume as Nuno Espirito Santo was forced to make a substitution in the first half. Forest would soon take the lead in the match as striker Chris Wood scored in the 23rd minute of the match. They would hold on to the lead until the 93rd minute and looked on course for an opening-day win against Bournemouth before the away side clinched a point. Antoine Semenyo scored the equalising goal in the match as the contest finished 1-1.
The opening weekend also saw wins for Arsenal and Liverpool on the opening weekend as they look to challenge for the Premier League title. On Friday, Manchester United registered a win on the opening day as they beat Fulham 1-0 with new signing Joshua Zirkzee scoring the only goal of the match on his debut in the 87th minute.
