The trailer for Season 4 of the popular Netflix series Emily in Paris has just been released, and fans are buzzing with excitement. The trailer hints at plenty of drama, romance, and surprises. The season picks up right after the chaotic wedding of Camille (Camille Razat) and Gabriel (Lucas Bravo).
Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) is struggling with her feelings. Gabriel is expecting a baby with his ex, Camille, and Emily’s relationship with Alfie (Lucien Laviscount) has ended. She’s torn between her love for both men.
The trailer starts with Emily trying to embrace single life after her breakup with Alfie. In a candid moment with her friend and roommate, Mindy (Ashley Park), Emily says, “Do you know what I saw on my run? Hot men everywhere. I guess I’ve just been so focused on Gabriel and Alfie that I forgot what it feels like to be single. And now that I’m not with either of them…” This conversation takes a surprising turn when Gabriel emerges from the shower curtain and asks, “You’re not with Alfie?”
Their undeniable chemistry is further complicated by Gabriel’s impending fatherhood with Camille, who is in love with another woman. Emily confides in Mindy, who pragmatically responds, “Well, no relationship is perfect.”
Emily’s personal life continues to spill into her professional one. Her breakup with Alfie becomes public knowledge, appearing all over the internet and on billboards across Paris. This prompts her boss, Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu), to confront her: “You broadcast your entire life for public consumption, and now it’s affecting my business. Fix this.”
Emily’s attempts to reconcile with Alfie don’t go as planned. An awkward encounter at his boxing gym leaves Alfie needing more time to process their situation. Gabriel and Emily, both weary of secrets, decide they need a fresh start.
The trailer concludes with Emily at a masked event, spotting Gabriel and Alfie on opposite sides of the room. Her voiceover hints at her readiness for new possibilities: “I promised myself I’d be open to any possibility, and this seems like it’s the one.”
Beyond Emily’s romantic entanglements, the new season will see Mindy and her band preparing for Eurovision amidst financial challenges. Sylvie will face a thorny dilemma from her past for the sake of her marriage, and the Agence Grateau team will navigate personnel shakeups.
Season 4 of Emily in Paris will debut in two parts, with the first part releasing on August 15 and the second on September 12. Seasons 1-3 are currently streaming on Netflix.
